Information we collect

When you visit this website, contact the church, sign a ministry form, or opt in to text messages, we may collect your name, address, phone number, email address, the names and ages of family members, emergency contacts, and the information you type on a form. Signed transportation waivers, AWANA and VBS registrations, and similar ministry forms may also include a signature, the date, and the IP address recorded when the form is submitted.

How we use it

We use this information to serve our church family: to follow up on a visit or prayer request, to keep ministry records, to contact you about church events you signed up for, and to operate our church transportation program. If you opt in to SMS, Cathedral Baptist Church uses your mobile number to send ride questions, YES/NO confirmations, and pickup lists to assigned drivers and bus monitors.

Text messages

You may opt in to automated transportation texts on the Transportation Waiver at https://www.cathedralbaptist.net/transportation-waiver/, or by giving a mobile number in person to a church leader for that purpose. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not required to attend church or to ride.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our SMS provider (Twilio) processes messages so they can be delivered. They are not permitted to use your number for their own marketing.

Sharing

Church leaders who need the information for ministry may see it. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information if the law requires it, or with a medical provider in an emergency when you have given permission on a form.
